Also called Bowl Arena · The Bowl
'2,000 seat spectator feature arena with bowl seating, designed to accommodate games, concerts and special events', with a professional-style scoreboard and time clock carrying digital and video readout, and FOUR large dressing rooms. The 2,000 is published as SEATS by the operator, not as an occupancy or fire-code figure. This is the pad whose score clock the Town livestreamed the Grace Bowen renaming ceremony onto, and the building's east entrance is signed 'Bowl Arena doors'.
Also called Grace Bowen Arena - (The Pond) · The Pond
RENAMED IN FLIGHT. '400 seat recreation and practice arena' with SIX large dressing rooms and warm viewing from the Grand Hall. Renamed on 14 September 2025 from 'The Pond' to honour Grace Bowen, a West Northumberland Girls Hockey Association player who died of osteosarcoma in 2015 aged nine. The Town's facility directory still carries the transitional string 'Grace Bowen Arena - (The Pond)', which is exactly the sponsor/rename volatility CONTRACT s.8.12 describes - except here the new name is commemorative, not commercial, so it will NOT be re-sold and should be treated as stable. Older schedules will say 'The Pond'.
