  About this pad

180 by 80 ft, identical dimensions to Kinoak; the booking system flags both as 'slightly smaller than most'. SEASONAL: closed April to September, contradicting the web page's year-round claim. 6 change rooms and 2 referee rooms - two more change rooms than Kinoak - and PLASTIC bench seating where Kinoak has wooden. Seats 500, double Kinoak's 250, which makes Maple Grove the better of the two small barns for a game with travelling parents. SKATE RENTALS - TWO DIFFERENT RULES, BOTH TRUE: the Town's Skating page lists Maple Grove as one of four arenas offering skate and helmet rentals during scheduled recreational skating; the booking system separately says rentals are generally available to PERMIT HOLDERS on request but must be asked for at the time of booking, at regular rental rates. A team renting ice will not get skates unless they ask when they book. Stand-alone single-pad neighbourhood arena, no attached community centre, no published hours. Both associations address it by building name with no pad qualifier.
