We have the building, not the details
The address and pads are recorded. Amenities are shown as unknown rather than guessed — across Ontario only 8% of arenas publish whether they have a pro shop, and 2% publish a parking count.
Also called Pickle Lake Arena
'Arena' is the Township's own label in its Recreation Facilities Directory. Rental rates: youth/school $60/hr, adult $80/hr, non-resident $90/hr, doubled on statutory holidays; summer rental is charged at the Community Hall rate, which confirms a dry floor in summer. Bookings 807-928-2034 ext. 200. The Curling Rink is a SEPARATE building at 33 Dickenson Street and is excluded. IMPORTANT: the ice appears to be weather-dependent rather than fully mechanically refrigerated - a 2023 Township public notice reads 'Due to the mild weather, the ice in the Arena is no longer usable and has been closed until further notice', which would not happen with a working artificial plant. This makes the season length unpredictable and is a real scheduling risk. WEST of the 90th meridian (Pickle Lake is at roughly 90.2 degrees W). Pickle Lake is one of only two Ontario communities - with Atikokan - that observe CENTRAL STANDARD TIME ALL YEAR and do NOT change for daylight saving. The IANA zone is literally America/Atikokan. Neither America/Toronto nor America/Winnipeg is correct here for the whole year.
