W.J. McMeeken Centre
Demolished
This building is gone. It is kept here because older schedules still name it. DEMOLISHED. The City announced that 'Demolition of the W.J. McMeeken Centre is scheduled following the 2022-2023 season'; the building was 56 years old at the 2022 announcement, so it dates from about 1966. Its ice was replaced by the Northern Community Centre twin-pad expansion, which opened Monday 6 March 2023. Kept per CONTRACT 3 because Sault Ste. Marie schedules and association records from before 2023 still reference it.
