  About this pad

Ice surface 200 ft x 85 ft. Seating recorded verbatim as the City writes it: 'appx 4,000' - an approximation published by the operator, not a precise count. Home of the OHL North Bay Battalion. SPONSOR NAME: 'Boart Longyear' is a live commercial naming-rights name; the structural/enduring name is 'Memorial Gardens' and that is what association schedules use. The City does not name the ice surface separately from the building. Pad/venue string as North Bay Minor Hockey writes it on its calendar: 'MEMORIAL GARDENS' - the association refuses the sponsor half entirely, exactly as CONTRACT 8.12 predicts. The building was 'North Bay Memorial Gardens' from 1955 and was renamed in January 2025. Also the home rink of the Nipissing University Lakers OUA men's and women's teams - a university programme on municipal ice, so operator_kind stays municipal.

Known gap

hours is null deliberately: the only hours the City publishes for this arena are ADMINISTRATIVE office hours (Mon-Fri 8:30-16:30, closed 12:30-13:00 for lunch), which are not the hours the building is open for ice. Publishing them as facility hours would be wrong. parking_spaces recorded as 450 from the City's '450+ vehicles'.
