About this pad
The building houses the Arena, the Curling Club and the Community Hall; a separate Recreation Centre houses the gymnasium. SEASONAL: 'From October until March the ice is used by several groups' - Moosonee Minor Hockey, men's hockey, shinny, co-ed broomball and tournaments - and the Town's rate sheet carries a 'Summer Sports Activities (Spring, Summer & Fall, No Ice)' line, confirming the ice comes out. Out of season the pad hosts wedding receptions, bingos, community feasts and bands, because 'there are no other facilities in town large enough to accommodate over 200'.
